Resilience Unveiled: A Canvas Reimagined Through Challenges

6/2/2021

Do you sometimes have a day when nothing comes out? You have it, like everyone else These are very interesting days, but also incredibly complicating life. My day was just like that.

Today I wanted to paint a simple picture for myself, when I was halfway through, I didn't like everything. I washed the canvas. I started to paint abstractions with boats, it was even pretty good, but that's it, so I started to put the paint off with a spatula, it gave me a very interesting background.

I started to paint diphenbachia leaves on this background, it would be great if I didn't add one leaf too much. I cried out the whole background and started to bounce my paws, but I overdid it again and this time I smeared the background with my hands: Again a nice background appeared on which I started to paint flowers in a vase, but something went wrong and I burst into tears.

I decided that I would paint flowers without a vase and nothing came of it either. Then there were two abstracts that apparently didn't stay for long. I painted a grille on it, which created a nice door, but I had no idea for a nice handle and I actually didn't like it anymore, so I washed the canvas.

When I did this and saw what the poor thing went through, I said enough, I will paint exactly what I should have done with this painting from the very beginning. BOOM!

Primed canvas, washed probably 6 times , painted with acrylic. 40 x 50 cm.
