Unveiling Dreams: A Journey from Volunteering to Vernissage

11/16/2022

Hello, dear friends!

Today, I'm overjoyed to share some incredible news and a journey that has unfolded unexpectedly, yet beautifully. In September of this year, the Irish government selected me, along with other artists, from a pool of 9,000 applicants for a pilot program lasting three years. This program not only provided financial support but also encouraged us to establish art-related businesses, offering participation in seminars and training. Feeling fortunate, I embarked on this artistic adventure, little knowing the extraordinary path that lay ahead.

About two weeks ago, I visited the ArtD Gallery in Borrisokane by chance and had the pleasure of meeting its fantastic owner. Learning that I am also an artist, he expressed interest in my work and suggested that I email him some pieces, as they might be featured in a summer vernissage next year. I took up the opportunity, and to my delight, my works were selected for an exhibition at the gallery's Christmas vernissage, where several artists will be showcased. But that's not all; a contract was signed for a two-year collaboration, and I was informed of an upcoming individual vernissage in March next year.

Starting this Sunday, some of my paintings will adorn the walls of ArtD Gallery in Borrisokane until the end of January. The turn of events has been nothing short of amazing, unlocking a surge of ideas and courage within me. Fear has been replaced by anticipation, and I eagerly await each new day to put brush to canvas.

"Beloved," completed after a 19-hour painting marathon, is the first in a series of paintings in this style. Measuring 90 x 90 cm, it signifies the beginning of a new chapter in my artistic journey. I hope the subsequent pieces will surpass it in beauty and depth.

Thank you for sharing in this moment of joy with me. Here's to the unexpected twists of fate and the limitless possibilities that unfold when passion meets opportunity.

Cheers, dear friends!
